Matthew Casto

Co-Founder | Visionary & Intergenerational Leadership Strategist

With a life steeped in mentorship, fatherhood, and cross-cultural experience, Matthew Casto serves as the backbone of MODMAN’s intergenerational mission. Raised in a household with a strong father and five brothers—and later, as a father to six children including five sons—Matthew has spent his life witnessing the evolution of boys into men from both intimate and communal perspectives.

His journey deepened while raising his family abroad, where the absence of familiar systems forced him to intentionally construct rites of passage and find support beyond his own cultural framework. This experience reinforced a core belief: that raising men requires community, courage, and ritual.

A lifelong advocate for youth development through sports, church, and scouting, Matthew understands that while the path to manhood was once woven naturally into everyday life, today’s young men often face that road alone. MODMAN exists to change that. For Matthew, manhood is not a fixed achievement but a continuous process—a journey marked by purpose, virtue, responsibility, and belonging.

Through MODMAN, he aims to provide tools, encouragement, and brotherhood to young men navigating their own definitions of manhood. In his words, “Becoming a man is a lifelong process filled with opportunities and great purpose”—and he’s dedicated to ensuring every boy has the support to walk that path.

Michael Roldán

Co-Founder | Curriculum Development & Mental Health Strategy

Michael Roldan brings both heart and expertise to the foundation of MODMAN. Raised without a father figure, he knows firsthand the gaps that can form in a young man’s development when mentorship is missing. Now a father himself, Michael’s passion for creating a supportive path to manhood is both personal and urgent.

With a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida and currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Stetson University, Michael bridges lived experience with clinical training. His goal is to become a licensed counselor, and he’s already applying his insights to build MODMAN’s emotionally intelligent, psychologically informed curriculum.

Michael believes modern manhood is not about rigid expectations, but about achieving balance—between strength and softness, action and reflection. His vision for MODMAN is a world where boys are celebrated for beginning the journey to manhood and supported by a brotherhood that fosters emotional growth, financial literacy, physical resilience, and spiritual maturity. For him, the journey is not complete until each man turns back to mentor the next.

Alessandro Casto

Co-Founder | Creative Director & Legacy Builder

Alessandro Casto stands as a bridge between generations—raised through an intentional rite of passage himself, and now preparing to guide others through the same journey. Moving to a foreign country at the age of six, Alessandro grew up under the leadership of a father who didn’t just tell him how to become a man—he showed him. Through a series of guided activities and challenges, Alessandro was instilled with direction, responsibility, and a deep sense of identity. He credits this formative experience with reshaping the trajectory of his life.

Now stepping into fatherhood, Alessandro’s vision for MODMAN is as much forward-looking as it is rooted in tradition. He brings a lived understanding of what structured mentorship can do—not only from personal experience, but from the values he intends to pass on.

For Alessandro, modern manhood is about balance: strength and humility, leadership and service, tradition and emotion. He sees MODMAN as a response to a culture that too often tells young men what not to be, without ever showing them what they could become. His mission is to change that by offering mentorship, brotherhood, and purpose.

Through MODMAN, Alessandro hopes both young men and their mentors gain something profound: a deeper understanding of who they are, a vision for who they’re becoming, and the power of legacy built hand-in-hand.
